Fernand Bise
Members of the MacJannet Foundation are saddened to learn of the recent death of Fernand Bise, after a brief illness. The funeral took place on Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Both Fernand Bise and his father maintained a friendship with the camp director, Col. Woodworth, as well as the MacJannets. Fernand’s was a camper at the

MacJannet Social Network
The MacJannet Foundation is now on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, http://www.macjannet.org/, this blog, and email. The website includes a repository of relatively permanent information. This blog explains new developments of interest to the MacJannet Community- (some portions of which may be included in the website). The blog also receives feeds of news developments or other blogs about the MacJannet community. Facebook is social network where community members may share photos, video and discussion of an informal nature. LinkedIn includes the background information of those Members already on LinkedIn as well as news of interest and members post in the Discussions- how they came to know the MacJannet Foundation. Twitter provides brief status updates on new material that has been added to the various sites. If you have any suggestions please note them in this blog or email george.halsey@macjannet.org.

Highlights of June 2009 Annual Meeting and Entretiens
Elected Trustee Class of 2012: Bruce Berzin, Willard Snyder, Wenke Thoman Sterns and Robert-Jan Smits.
Elected Officers: President- Tony Cook, Treasurer - Bruce Berzin, Assistant Treasurer - George Halsey, Secretary - George Halsey, Executive Director - George Halsey, Vice President- Programs - John King, Vice President Europe- Jean-Marie Herve, Vice President Development, Wenke Thoman Sterns
Elected New Overseers: Jean-Michel Fouquet and Elizabeth Rindborg
Deferred Grants Voting to October meeting to take place in York Harbor Maine. Date not yet confirmed.
Amended by laws to use a 3 years rolling average of previous 3 December 31 corpus values to determine the 5% total grant amount.
Launched the first MacJannet Prizes and achieved the required funding for 2009 (Much more about this to come).
Tentatively scheduled the 2010 annual meeting for June 11-13 2010
