Talloires Symposium 2015 June 5 - 7

This year, our speakers will be presenting challenging and timely material on the theme: The Global Economy: Markets, Prospects and Structural Challenges.
Our morning keynote speakers will be C. Fred Bergsten, F62, F69, Senior Fellow and Director Emeritus, The Peterson Institute for International Economics; Marcel Fratzscher, President, The German Institute for Economic Research; and Maria Gordon, F98, Senior Fellow, The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. In the evening, our academic keynote speaker will be Benjamin Jerry Cohen, Louis G. Lancaster Professor of International Political Economy, University of California, Santa Barbara, and the former William L. Clayton Professor of International Economic Affairs at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.

Chatham House rules will be in effect, allowing for candid, revealing, and sometimes provocative discussion not afforded to participants at similar events. Active alumni participation and insight in this discussion is eagerly anticipated.

Talloires is a place of peace and seclusion located in the heart of the French Alps, on the shores of Lake Annecy. The Tufts European Center, a restored 11th century monastery, makes the perfect venue for this Fletcher event.

As attendance at our gatherings in Talloires has grown, the experience has proven to be not only engaging intellectually, but also a catalyst to strengthen the ties among diverse members of the Fletcher global network, while increasing the School’s profile in Europe. We hope you will be able to join us.
